Terms of Service

Welcome to RateCasino.com ("RateCasino", "we", "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ratecasino.com (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. Who can use RateCasino

• You must be at least the legal gambling age in your country of residence (typically 18+ or 21+).
• You must be legally allowed to enter a contract with us.
• You must not be banned from RateCasino, and you must not have your account suspended or terminated.

2. Accounts

2.1 Account types

• Player accounts — for individuals who write reviews and file complaints about casinos.
• Casino (operator) accounts — for verified representatives of online casinos who respond to reviews, manage complaints, and edit their casino's contact details.

2.2 Your responsibilities

• Provide accurate information when signing up.
• Keep your password secure and don't share your account.
• One account per person (players) or per casino representative (operators).
• You are responsible for everything posted from your account.

2.3 Operator verification

Casino-operator accounts must be verified before they get access to the operator portal. Misrepresentation (e.g. pretending to represent a casino you don't work for) is grounds for permanent ban and may be reported to the casino in question.

3. User content

You ("the contributor") keep ownership of anything you post on RateCasino — reviews, complaints, replies, comments.

By posting content, you grant RateCasino a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to host, store, display, reproduce, distribute, translate, and create excerpts of that content as part of operating the Service — including in search-engine snippets, RSS feeds, and aggregated statistics.

3.1 What you must NOT post

• False statements you know to be false, defamation, or content designed to harm a casino in bad faith.
• Personal data of other people (real names, phone numbers, addresses, ID document numbers).
• Threats, harassment, hate speech, or discriminatory language.
• Spam, advertising, affiliate links, referral codes, or solicitation.
• Confidential or proprietary information you're not allowed to disclose.
• Content that infringes copyright, trademark, or any other right.
• Malware, exploits, or anything designed to interfere with the Service.

3.2 Honest, first-hand experiences only

Reviews and complaints must reflect your own first-hand experience. Don't post reviews about casinos you've never used, don't pay people to write reviews for you, and don't write reviews about your own casino (operators).

3.3 Moderation

We may remove or edit content that violates these Terms, with or without notice. We may temporarily or permanently suspend accounts that abuse the Service. We are not obliged to moderate every piece of content and we do not endorse any user content.

4. Casino operators

If you operate a verified casino account, additional rules apply:

• You may reply publicly to reviews and engage in private dialogue on complaints — but you must not edit, delete, or suppress player content.
• You must not retaliate against players for posting honest reviews or filing complaints.
• You must respond truthfully and substantively in mediation. Misleading statements may be flagged publicly on your casino profile.
• You may not pay or offer benefits (bonuses, free play, refunds beyond what is owed) in exchange for review removal or positive ratings.
• You are responsible for keeping your casino's public contact email current.

5. Mediation

Where a player and a casino cannot resolve a dispute, either side can request RateCasino mediation. Our mediation outcomes are documented public statements based on the evidence presented — they are not legally binding and RateCasino is not a regulator, ombudsman, or licensing authority. Players retain their statutory rights and may pursue any legal remedy available to them under applicable law.

6. Affiliate and commercial relationships

RateCasino is independent. We do not accept payment to remove, hide, or alter reviews, ratings, or complaint outcomes. Where any commercial relationship affects a listing (e.g. an affiliate link), we will disclose it on the casino's profile.

Outbound links to casinos open on the casino's own website. We are not responsible for the casinos' websites, T&Cs, bonuses, or services. Read each casino's own terms before depositing.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, its design, source code, logos, and editorial content are owned by RateCasino or licensed to it. Casino names and logos referenced on the site belong to their respective owners and are used for identification under fair use. You may not copy, reproduce, or republish substantial parts of the Service without our written permission.

8. Responsible gambling

Gambling carries real financial risk and can become harmful. Set limits, never chase losses, and seek help if gambling stops being entertainment. Resources: BeGambleAware (UK), NCPG (US), Gambling Therapy (international).

Online gambling is illegal in some jurisdictions. It is your responsibility to know whether using a particular casino is legal where you live.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, RateCasino disclaims all warranties — express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

User reviews and complaints are opinions and personal accounts of their authors, not statements of fact endorsed by RateCasino. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any user content.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RateCasino will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages — including loss of profits, goodwill, data, or other intangible losses — arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for direct damages, in any case, is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (typically zero, as the Service is free), or (b) one hundred euro (€100).

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (such as for fraud, gross negligence, or death and personal injury caused by negligence).

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you breach these Terms, abuse the Service, or if we are legally required to. You can close your account at any time via the account settings or by contacting us.

Closure does not remove the public reviews and complaints you posted while your account was active — see our Privacy Policy for details on data retention and anonymisation requests.

12. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms — we'll post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date and (for material changes) notify account holders by email. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where RateCasino is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You may have additional mandatory rights under the laws of your country of residence — nothing in these Terms takes those away.

We'd much rather resolve any dispute informally. Before filing a formal claim, please contact us via the contact form with topic "Legal / takedown" and describe the issue.

14. Miscellaneous

• If any provision of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
• Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
• You can't transfer your account or these Terms to someone else without our written permission.
• These Terms (together with the Privacy Policy) are the entire agreement between you and RateCasino regarding the Service.
